 Academy of Television Arts and Sciences 2, 5 In addition to recognizing outstanding achievements in the telecommunications industry by conferring annual Emmy Awards, the purposes of the Academy also include the advancement of telecommunications arts and sciences and the fostering of creative leadership in the telecommunications industry for artistic, cultural, educational and technological progress.  American Association for Artificial Intelligence 2 Founded in 1979, the American Association for Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) is a nonprofit scientific society devoted to advancing the scientific understanding of the mechanisms underlying thought and intelligent behavior and their embodiment in machines. AAAI also aims to increase public understanding of artificial intelligence, improve the teaching and training of AI practitioners, and provide guidance for research planners and funders concerning the importance and potential of current AI developments and future directions.
 Association for Computing Machinery 2, 5 Founded in 1947, ACM is the world's first educational and scientific computing society. Today, the membership — over 80,000 computing professionals and students world-wide — and the public turn to ACM for authoritative publications, pioneering conferences, and visionary leadership for the new millennium.
 BCD Forum 2, 3, 4, 5 The BCD Forum, formerly the Broadband Content Delivery Forum, is a worldwide association that collaborates on the technical and business issues affecting end-to-end delivery of broadband content and services to consumers and businesses. As an independent, non-profit, cross-industry organization, the BCD Forum: represents all sectors of the broadband value chain; and, addresses the needs of all major stakeholders involved in broadband content delivery. Approximately 60 leading broadband companies are actively involved in the BCD Forum.
 Electronic Frontier Foundation 1 Based in San Francisco, EFF is a donor-supported membership organization working to protect our fundamental rights regardless of technology; to educate the press, policymakers and the general public about civil liberties issues related to technology; and to act as a defender of those liberties. Among our various activities, EFF opposes misguided legislation, initiates and defends court cases preserving individuals' rights, launches global public campaigns, introduces leading edge proposals and papers, hosts frequent educational events, engages the press regularly, and publishes a comprehensive archive of digital civil liberties information at one of the most linked-to websites in the world. IEEE Communications Society 2 The IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) is a community of industry professionals with a common interest in advancing all communications technologies.
 Internet Engineering Task Force 1 The IETF is a large open international community of network designers, operators, vendors, and researchers concerned with the evolution of the Internet architecture and the smooth operation of the Internet. It is open to any interested individual.
 Internet Streaming Media Alliance 2 The Internet Streaming Media Alliance (ISMA) is a non-profit corporation formed to provide a forum for the creation of specifications that define an interoperable implementation for streaming rich media (video, audio and associated data) over Internet Protocol (IP) networks. In developing the specifications, the ISMA utilizes relevant, established standards that exist and proposes additions or refinements as needed to relevant standards body efforts that are still in development.  Motion Picture Association of America 2 The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) serves as the voice and advocate of the American motion picture, home video and television industries. Today, this association represents not only the world of theatrical film, but serves as leader and advocate for major producers and distributors of entertainment programming for television, cable, home video, internet and future delivery systems not yet imagined. Founded in 1922 as the trade association of the American film industry, the MPAA serves its members from its offices in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. On its board of directors are the Chairmen and Presidents of the seven major producers and distributors of motion picture and television programs in the United States. These members include: Walt Disney Company; Sony Pictures Entertainment, Inc.; Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.; Paramount Pictures Corporation; Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp.; Universal Studios, Inc.; and Warner Bros.
 National Association of Broadcasters 2, 4, 5 The National Association of Broadcasters is a full-service trade association that promotes and protects the interests of radio and television broadcasters in Washington and around the world. NAB is the broadcaster's voice before Congress, federal agencies and the Courts.
 SIGART - ACM SIG on Artificial Intelligence 2 SIGART is the Association for Computing Machinery's (ACM) Special Interest Group (SIG) for Artificial Intelligence. SIGART is dedicated to the study of intelligence and its realization in Computer Systems.
 SIGGRAPH - ACM SIG on Computer Graphics 1, 2, 5 ACM SIGGRAPH is dedicated to the generation and dissemination of information on computer graphics and interactive techniques.
